A conductive line in a memory array that carries the data-dependent electrical signal between selected memory cells and peripheral read/write circuitry.
Application
Used in DRAM, SRAM and nonvolatile memory arrays; a wordline selects a cell or row, while the bit line conveys the stored or written state to circuits such as sense amplifiers.
