Definition
A process design kit (PDK) is a foundry-supplied set of process-specific design data and files that connects an IC design flow to a manufacturing technology, typically including design rules, device models, technology and layer definitions, parameterized cells, and verification content.
Application
Used by circuit and layout designers and EDA tools to create, simulate, verify, and sign off designs against the electrical and physical constraints of a specific foundry process before tapeout.
